Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme

Who Should Attend?
This Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS training course) is aimed at first line managers, including those who have to or are about to, acquire supervisory responsibilities.

The SSSTS course provides site supervisors an introduction to health and safety, welfare and environmental issues for those requiring an understanding of their legal responsibilities relevant to their work activities. SSSTS will provide a sound knowledge base to enable them to give valuable assistance in safely managing a construction site.

Pre-Requisites:  The minimum entry equipment is a good understanding of spoken and written English

The Aim
The aims and objectives on the two-day SSSTS course are to ensure that all those given supervisory responsibilities understand:

• Why they are carrying out their identified duties.
• What is expected of them.
• That they need to contribute to the safety of the workplace.


Level 1 Award – Health & Safety in a Construction Environment

Who Should Attend?
Ideal for anyone wishing to apply for the Construction Skills Certificate Scheme (CSCS) Labourer Card (Green Card), necessary to work on a UK construction site. The Labourer Card qualification was developed in partnership with the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB).

Summary
Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment qualification is for anyone who currently works in construction or wants to work in construction, as well as for those already in the industry looking to refresh their knowledge. It is ideal for anyone wishing to apply for the Construction Skills Certificate Scheme (CSCS) Labourer Card (Green Card), necessary for work on a UK construction site.

The qualification assumes no prior knowledge and considers the fact that learners come from diverse education and employment backgrounds. The training is exceptionally easy to understand and administer.

Having a valid CSCS card and passing the CITB test are both mandatory requirements of working in the construction industry because they grant employees access to UK construction sites as non-skilled workers.

The Labourer Card qualification was developed in partnership with the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB). Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment is regulated by the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF).


NRSWA Street Works Unit 010 - Supervisor

Who Should Attend?
This Signing, Lighting and Guarding course is designed for Supervisors who have to monitor the erection of signing, lighting and guarding for work on the roadways and highways.

Aim
To provide Supervisors with the skills and knowledge to perform their duties when signing, lighting and guarding to the standards prescribed by then SQA and in-line with the NRSW Act, in order to safeguard themselves and others.


NRSWA Street Works Unit 002 - Operative

Who Should Attend?
This Signing, Lighting and Guarding course is designed for Operatives who have to erect signing, lighting and guarding for work on the roadways and highways.

Aim
To provide Operatives with the skills and knowledge to perform their duties when signing, lighting and guarding to the standards prescribed by the SQA and in-line with the NRSW Act, in order to safeguard themselves and others.


NRSWA Street Works Re-Assessment

Who Should Attend?
This New Roads and Street Works Requalification Plus course is designed for Operatives or Supervisors that are registered with the Street Works Qualification Register and wish to renew their NRSWA qualification but also require exam preparation and refresher training.

Training Course Content
Delegates will receive rigorous theory based training and exam preparation designed specifically around the NRSWA Requalification assessment.

Delegates will have to sit six written multiple choice exam papers throughout the day under strict exam conditions. Each exam paper must be completed within a strict 30-minute timeframe.


NRSWA Street Works Full - Supervisor

Who Should Attend?
This training course is designed for Supervisors who are required to monitor Operatives performing excavation, backfill and reinstatement duties.

Aim
To provide delegates with the skills and knowledge to perform Supervisor duties to the standards prescribed by City & Guilds in-line with the NRSW Act 1991, in order to safeguard themselves and others.


NRSWA Street Works Full - Operative

Who Should Attend?
The New Roads & Street Works training programme is designed for Operatives who carry out excavation, backfill and reinstatement of various materials in the Highway.

Aim
This training course provides delegates with the skills and knowledge to perform operative duties to the standards prescribed in-line with the current New Roads and Street Works (NRSWA) Act, in order to safeguard themselves and others.


Emergency First Aid at Work

Who Should Attend?
This Emergency First Aid at Work course is designed for any person who may need a basic knowledge of first aid, companies with a small number of staff and lower risk workplaces, such as shops and offices. This content is in line with HSE recommendations. Adult focus.

The Aim
The aim of the course is to provide the delegate the relevant knowledge to act as an Emergency First Aider in the Workplace.


NPORS Experienced Worker Test – Dumper

Who Should Attend?
This NPORS Experienced Worker Test is for those looking to become accredited to operate a Forward Tipping Dumper.

The Aim
To train and assess delegates' practical skills and theoretical knowledge to the standards set by NPORS and to identify and eliminate any bad habits in the safe operation of a Dumper.

Course Summary
Mindset Training provide testing in a safe and efficient operation of Forward Tipping Dumpers, above or below 10 tonnes. This can be delivered at our premises, or on-site.

Upon successful completion of the test, you’ll be issued with an NPORS Dumper Card. These cards are issued by NPORS, and valid for 5 years. All candidates will be tested and supervised by Mindset Training's fully accredited NPORS Instructor, Steve.

This course meets the statutory requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, and other relevant statutory provisions and Approved Codes of Practice.


NPORS Experienced Worker Test – Excavator

Who Should Attend?
This NPORS Experienced Worker Test is for those looking to become accredited to operate an Excavator.

The Aim
