Who Should Attend?

This Emergency First Aid at Work course is designed for any person who may need a basic knowledge of first aid, companies with a small number of staff and lower risk workplaces, such as shops and offices. This content is in line with HSE recommendations.

Aim

The aim of the course is to provide the delegate the relevant knowledge to act as an Emergency First Aider in the Workplace.

This course provides basic life saving first aid skills and knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations, covering:

  • Adult resuscitation (CPR)
  • Burns and scalds
  • Choking adult
  • Communication and casualty care
  • Defibrillator prompts and how to respond (theory based)
  • Defibrillator pad placement (theory based)
  • Minor and severe bleeding
  • Role of the first aider (including knowledge of health and safety regulations)
  • Seizures
  • Shock
  • Unresponsive adult
  • Your course will be delivered at our Office based in Frome.
  • We have on-site facilities, training areas and a classroom to deliver all required practical and theory training.
  • Upon successful completion of the course, you’ll be issued with an Emergency First Aid At Work Certificate, valid for 3 Years.

Understanding our skill levels.

Novice

For those with no experience operating the chosen plant, with no understanding.

Semi Skilled

For those with at least 40 hours experience operating the chosen plant, with an understanding.

EWT

For those with 70 hours (or above) experience operating the chosen plant, and a complete understanding.
